This workshop is geared towards undergraduate and graduate students who are actively involved in research and interested in attending research conferences, as well as students who may be working on a poster presentation for a course. Specific topics will include:

1. What to include (and what not to include) on a research poster
2. Organization on the poster
3. Creating posters with visual appeal
4. Tips on how to discuss your research during a poster session

This workshop is geared towards advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty members who are interested in learning more about SAS, a software package for performing a wide range of statistical analyses. Specific topics covered will include:

1. The basic framework of SAS
2. Basic rules for coding
3. Inputting data into SAS
4. Messages conveyed by the SAS Log File
5. The SAS Output Delivery System

Erik Williams, from ASU's Office of Research Integrity & Assurance, will be giving a presentation for members of the ASU West community who are interested in conducting social science research with human participants. He will be sharing insights from his experience as an IRB administrator at ASU, including information about the process of submitting protocols to ASU's Social & Behavioral Sciences Institutional Review Board.

This workshop is for faculty and graduate/undergraduate student researchers who are interested in using Amazon Mechanical Turk to collect online data. Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing platform that allows researchers to connect with a diverse (international) pool of online study participants. 1. What is MTurk?
2. Basic MTurk vocabulary
3. How to set up a Requester (i.e., researcher) account
4. How to create a Human Intelligence Task (HIT)
5. Who are the MTurk "workers"?
6. Best practices and Ethical concerns
7. How to circumvent the 40% MTurk fee

Handouts that include step-by-step instructions for researchers will be provided.

This workshop is for graduate students and undergraduate research assistants who plan to run studies through the ASU West Psychology Participant Pool. Workshop attendees will learn how to set up and manage studies using the SONA Systems website. Specific topics covered will include:

1. How to get a SONA Researcher account
2. How to create a new study in SONA and what information is needed
3. How to create study time slots and assign participants credit
4. How create a SONA study that involves an external online survey website (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)
5. How to program SONA to automatically assign credit to participants of an online (Qualtrics/Survey Monkey) study upon submission of their responses
6. General tips for running studies on West Campus 

 Handouts with step-by-step instructions and screenshots will be provided.
